The Atlantic Puffin is a pelagic bird that spends most of its time on the high seas. Like the Northern Gannet, it only returns to dry land to breed.

It nests on grassy slopes and cliffs, and makes its nest in burrows. In France, this bird can only be seen on the 7 Islands archipelago, near Perros-Guirec, nesting not far from gannet colonies. The puffin seems to have escaped avian flu.
